Facing redundancy? We’re here to support you
Back to News & insights
Redundancy can be one of life’s most unsettling experiences – emotionally and financially. As economic uncertainty continues across the UK, Lifetime is stepping in to help.
Starting this May, we’re offering a free financial plan to anyone recently made redundant or currently going through the redundancy process. Normally priced at £149 for the year, this plan provides tailored support to help you manage your finances, make informed decisions, and feel more confident about what comes next.
Why are we doing this?
Recent figures from the CIPD’s Labour Market Outlook show that a quarter of UK employers expect to make redundancies in early 2025. On top of that, new employer costs – including increases to National Insurance Contributions, the National Living Wage, and business rates – are creating additional pressures for businesses and individuals alike.
At Lifetime, our mission is simple: to help people feel more in control of their money, especially in difficult times.

Supporting your wellbeing – not just your wallet
We know that redundancy isn’t just a financial challenge – it can impact your confidence, mental health, and sense of security. That’s why our support focuses on improving your financial wellbeing, giving you the clarity and reassurance you need to move forward, whether that’s finding a new role, pursuing a career change, planning for retirement, or simply taking a breath.
Lifetime’s Marketing Director, Keerti Baker, explains:
“We know that redundancy is more than just a financial shock – it can shake your confidence and sense of security. With so many people set to be affected in the coming months, we felt it was essential to offer support in the way we know best. This free financial plan will help people take stock, reduce anxiety, and gain clarity on what comes next – whether that’s a new job, early retirement, a complete career change, or just space to breathe.”
