Behind every statistic is a person.
Financial wellbeing is about more than what’s in someone’s bank account. It’s about the worries they carry, the choices they make and how confident they feel about their financial future. Our 2026/2027 survey explores the financial realities facing people across the UK, revealing some important insights into how employees are feeling right now.
A snapshot of the data
What does it tell us
A snapshot of some of the findings from this year’s research.
73.3 % say money worries affect their mood or mental health: for many people, financial pressure can have a wider impact on how they feel day to day.
64% of women say money worries affect their stress levels: women are particularly likely to feel the impact of financial pressure through increased stress.
Younger generations and women report a stronger emotional impact: the effects of financial pressure aren’t felt equally, with some groups more likely to experience the emotional strain of money worries.
