The 2016 Lifetime-sponsored charity golf event proved to be another bumper pay day for Barnsley Hospice.

Teams from all over Barnsley converged on Silkstone Golf Club for a brilliant day – with the rain thankfully staying away – and £6,000 was raised for the hospice.

Said Lifetime MD Ian Dickinson, whose team (pictured below) finished in third place overall: “This is the fourth successive year that Lifetime has been the major sponsor of the golf day and once again it was a tremendous success – and hugely enjoyable.

“Thank you to all the teams and companies who took part and supported the hospice, raising vital funds for such a great cause.”

The Alhambra Centre finished as runners-up in the event, with the winners’ accolade going to the Barnsley Timber team
