Lifetime’s ‘Barnsley Businesses Inspiring Students’ programme is venturing further afield……..to Doncaster!

The ‘BBIS’ has made a significant impact in Barnsley – with a number of speakers going into schools such as Horizon College, Darton College, Greenacre, Holy Trinity and Penistone ALC to deliver their inspirational stories to students.

And now Outwood Academy in Adwick near Doncaster has come calling!

They have been on the look-out for inspiring speakers from the local area – for their women’s evening on Tuesday, June 28 – and came across the Lifetime website and specifically the section on our BBIS programme and the various speakers we have available.

Outwood realised they were not a ‘Barnsley school’ but wondered whether the BBIS could help provide a speaker for a group of female students (Years 9, 10, 11 and 12) and their mothers for the June 28 event.

The theme of the evening is about empowering women and opening their eyes to career paths that they might not think possible.

A number of the female BBIS speakers said they would make time in their diaries for the evening at Outwood – and the Doncaster-based school eventually plumped for Louise O’Leary (pictured below), an international actress and Artistic Director of Sheffield’s first and only professional Method Acting Studio – StandBy Method Acting Studio (https://www.lifetime-fm.com/bbis/louise-oleary/).
