Lifetime Financial Planner Simon Megson is going back to school!

He has been invited back to his old school King Ecgbert in Sheffield, to talk to their Year 10 students as part of their partnership with education charity ‘Future First’  on the afternoon of Thursday, March 5.

Simon will talk to students for a set time about his ‘journey’ since leaving King Ecgbert – and about his current occupation as a financial planner with Lifetime.

James Ellis, the Alumni Officer for King Ecgbert School, said: “One of Future First’s aims is to build the confidence of current students in state schools by introducing them to former students from their school.

“We want students to hear about all the different types of options that are out there for them after they finish school.  Very simply: if former students can do it, so can they.

“The series of workshops with Year 10 students will help them raise their confidence and motivation in school by introducing them to relatable role models and providing a connection between their studies and the world of work.

“Students in Year 10 may be (understandably!) nervous about thinking about life after school. This is a vital time for them just before their final GCSE year. This is why it would be so beneficial for them to hear from former students like Simon, who have been in their shoes and gone through it all before.”
