Two more Yorkshire hospices have benefited from Lifetime’s generous hospice referral scheme.
Lifetime has set up a scheme whereby it donates 10% of fees generated on new accounts to a hospice chosen by the person who referred them the business.
Barnsley hospice has already received a number of cheques, while last month Lifetime Financial Planner Janette Town presented Saint Catherine’s hospiced in Scarborough with a cheque for £131.
Fellow Financial Planner Daryl Clarke has followed in Janette’s footsteps with a visit to a hospice, this time Kirkwood hospice in Huddersfield.
He presented a cheque for £112 to fundraiser Emily Kennedy (see picture below).
And today (November 4) Lifetime’s Brian Howard popped along to Wakefield hospice to hand deliver a referral scheme cheque.
The hospices have all been thrilled by Lifetime’s venture.
Kirkwood fundraiser Emily said: “It’s fantastic to receive this generous donation and we are looking forward to continuing this link with Lifetime in the coming months and years.
“On behalf of the patients, staff and volunteers at Kirkwood hospice we would like to say thank you!
“It was lovely to see Daryl for the cheque presentation.
“In 2013, it will cost Kirkwood in excess of £13,000 every day to provide its services. With over 82% of this amount coming from our generous supporters – people and companies like Lifetime – support is vital in helping us to provide a future of care for people.”
Ian Dickinson, Lifetime’s Managing Director, added: “The foundation of our business has always been the relationships we have had with our clients. We have grown through the recommendations and referrals we receive from them. We wanted to continue to develop that close relationship and also wanted to give our clients, wherever they live, the opportunity to make a difference to their community.”
