Sarah Valentine-Bull, the Managing Director of Propolis Professional Services, is the latest speaker to join our ‘Barnsley Businesses Inspiring Students’ venture.
She works with a variety of different size and nature of businesses helping them to grow through process and people development, often supporting in large projects. This can include development of management information for running a successful business.
An experienced Operations Lead and Project Manager with extensive knowledge in both running a 100 FTE ‘call / claims centre’ operation to high service level requirements and continuous evaluation and improvement of process both from a customer journey and cost perspective in an SME growing from 76 staff to 450.
Having started out life as an accounts assistant in a popcorn factory after a retail Saturday jobs, Sarah moved into the NHS for a role in Accounts and latterly internal audit, before moving into the financial services sector for 15 years.
Sarah has a strong foundation in accounts, compliance, audit and due diligence in the financing sector enabling exposure to a wide variety of industries.
Although she did not attend university, her qualifications include Associate of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Education and Training Award Level 3, and she is a Prince II Practitioner.
Since starting Propolis Professional Services, Sarah has worked with a number of different companies in making their day to day job easier and clearer; these have incorporated both side by side review and subsequent coaching along with group sessions. This work is always complemented through not only feeding back to the business owners but also working / delivering change to the workforce.
Sarah has experience working with educational establishments, having been the mentor for Our Small World, the winner of 2016 I Know I can Challenge in Barnsley, and delivering training sessions to HND / Degree students on how to set up a your own business.
