Lifetime’s Financial Planner Matthew Appleby will be running the Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10K race on Sunday.

Matt (pictured), who has been in training for the event, is taking part to raise money for Martin House Children’s Hospice.

He said: “I’d like to issue a very big thank you to everyone who has sponsored me already.

“Your optimism that I’ll actually be able to run that far is overwhelming!

“Running might not turn out to be the most accurate word for my efforts on Sunday, but I’ll certainly be giving it my best. Hopefully I’ll manage the full distance without collapsing in a heap. Before I started training for the event I hadn’t run more than about 20 yards in the last 20 years!
