Lifetime Financial Planner Janette Town used to be the President of the Huddersfield Society for the Blind charity but was forced to give up the role due to increasing work commitments (she’s a very busy lady here you know!).

But Jan (pictured below) always helps out when she can – and so she is keen to publicise the fact that the charity are on the look-out for a president, a secretary and volunteers!

The charity hold their social events on the first and third Tuesday of every month (2pm-4.30pm) at Dalton St Paul’s Church Hall, Moldgreen.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We welcome volunteers, to help blind and partially sighted members of our society. If you feel you could give at least two hours per month we would love to hear from you.
