Lifetime Social Media Manager Andrew Lodge was delighted to be part of the latest ‘I Know I Can Awards’ ceremony at Horizon College on Wednesday afternoon.

Andrew is one of 17 Horizon IKIC patrons who have kindly volunteered to help Horizon recognise and celebrate young peoples’ community activities and personal achievements.

Around 100 students and their families were invited into the Horizon theatre to receive their Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 certificates from the patrons.

The students ranged from Year 7 right up to Year 11

They even got to walk on the Horizon ‘red carpet’!

Said Andrew: “I am honoured to be one of Horizon’s I Know I Can patrons. I am pleased to be able to do what I can to help the scheme continue to grow and flourish.

“I have seen at first hand just how motivated, passionate, determined and talented the IKIC entrants are, from those students achieving their Level Ones right through to the Special Award winners.

“Horizon’s IKIC awards scheme is a wonderful way of encouraging students to display their enterprising, entrepreneurial, community skills; raise their aspirations; perhaps go out of their comfort zone; and even lay the foundations (or a germ of an idea) for a career in the future.”
