Once again the Lifetime-sponsored Barnsley Hospice Golf Day proved to be a smash hit – with £5,560 being raised for a tremendous cause.

Silkstone Golf Club was the superb venue for teams from all over the Barnsley borough, who revelled in the lovely, convivial atmosphere.

The overall winners proved to be CK Beckett, who had former Barnsley star Martin Devaney in their ranks (pictured below with Lifetimer Scott Kershaw providing the cover from the rain!).

And the irrepressible Philip Rouse, on behalf of the CK Beckett team, took centre stage during the award ceremony afterwards!

Barnsley FC manager Paul Heckingbottom and ex-Oakwell chief executive Ben Mansford were part of another team that took part.

Said Lifetime Communications Director William Bottomley: “This is the fifth successive year that Lifetime has been the major sponsor of the golf day and once again it was a tremendous success – and hugely enjoyable.

“Thank you to all the teams and companies who took part and supported the hospice, raising vital funds for such a great cause.”

The Lifetime-sponsored Barnsley Hospice mascot, Oscar, also put in an appearance (pictured below), and was handed a cheque by Lifetimer Scott, for £114.71, raised from our hospice referral scheme (https://www.lifetime-fm.com/lifetime-in-driffield/hospice-referral-scheme/).
