Lifetime Managing Director Ian Dickinson has received a lovely thank-you letter from Barnsley Hospice, following the latest donation from our client referral scheme.

For all introduced clients to Lifetime, we will donate, on your behalf, 10% of any initial fees generated on new transactions completed with these clients, to your local hospice.

And Barnsley Hospice has been the major beneficiary of the referral scheme.

The latest cheque they received, for £240, took the grant total to the Gawber-based hospice to £1,402.59.

• Taking into account referral scheme donations to other hospices up and down the country, and Lifetime’s sponsorship of both the Barnsley Hospice’s annual golf day and their mascot Oscar, the total amount the company has given to hospice causes is now fast approaching £10,000.

The Barnsley Hospice letter read: “Thank you once again for you donation.

“As you may know it costs over £3.6 million each year to provide our community with much needed services. With the help of the NHS this means we need to raise over £2 million from voluntary donations to keep the hospice open, You kind donations allows the hospice to continue to support local people.

“2014 is our 20th anniversary year of providing palliative care to the people of Barnsley. Over the last twenty years our work has touched thousands of local people. We are immensely grateful to our supporters and acknowledge the unstinting generosity of our community.”
