Lifetime are headline news on Dearne FM this week. If you get a chance to tune in you might well get to hear Lifetime Communications Director William Bottomley introducing our exciting new project, one which we hope will help inspire the future generation of successful employers and employees in and around Barnsley.
Lifetime’s project was sparked by two things. Firstly, our Managing Director Ian Dickinson was invited into a couple of schools to deliver a talk, which proved to be very popular. Secondly the company’s Social Media Manager Andrew Lodge came across a brilliant charity organisation brought into being by BBC journalist Robert Peston, entitled ‘Speakers for Schools’.
That got us thinking – and we duly came up with our own version: Barnsley Businesses Inspiring Students.
The BBIS venture will be trialled at Horizon Community College with a view to rolling it out to other schools.
William Bottomley said the project fitted in with the company ethos of putting something back into the community.
“Barnsley is full of successful businesses and we want people to realise you don’t have to leave Barnsley to be successful. If Barnsley is a thriving and innovative place it is a better place for all to live and work.”
The project will be officially launched in September, however in the meantime We would be delighted if you would ‘come on board’ with us.
If you feel you could contribute an hour of your time to talk about your success to students in Barnsley please get in touch with Andrew Lodge (firstname.lastname@example.org) on 01226 208600.
