Horizon Community College students are in for a treat – as more Barnsley-based speakers are booked in to inspire them.

The ‘Barnsley Businesses Inspiring Students’ project, the brainchild of Lifetime and being trialled at Horizon, has already seen some terrific people deliver their ‘stories’ to various classes and assemblies – and there is plenty more who have kindly agreed to go into the college in the next few weeks and months, including best-selling Barnsley author Milly Johnson (pictured below).

Milly will speak to Horizon’s Year 7/8 master class from 3.15pm on Thursday, February 13.

And it doesn’t end there for that particular master class!

Andy Nicholson, the managing director of the hugely successful security firm Doyle Consultants, based at Great Cliffe Court, Dodworth, is sure to be entertaining when he delivers his talk this Thursday (February 6).

Rebecca Sykes, who owns Blush Photography, is booked in for Thursday, February 20, and another successful Barnsley author, Jonathan Lee, will speak to the students on Thursday, March 13.

A fortnight later (March 27), Birdwell-born Helen Clarke, the Production Director at iconic London-based fashion company Margaret Howell, will tell her story.
