Desert Island Discs: Featuring Office Administrator Mathew Leech:

DesertIslandDiscs

My choices are made! Here you are…..

Disc One: Sex On Fire – Kings Of Leon

I can’t imagine anyone not knowing the lyrics to this song! It’s brilliant! It reminds me of summer and playing it loud with the windows down.

Disc Two: Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) – Muse

I’m ‘love and hate’ with Muse’s music, but this song I love the most. Matt Bellamys voice is fab.

Disc Three: Part Of Me – Katy Perry

This song reminds me of driving through the Hollywood Hills with my friends when I went to Los Angeles after I graduated from university. It’s a great pick-me-up song and not bad for the treadmill too! One of my all-time favourites.

Disc Four: Big Pimpin – Jay-Z

I’m not keen on most rap music but I have a lot of respect for Jay-Z, he’s the only one I really listen to.

Disc Five: Someone Like You – Adele

I think the lyrics to this song are brilliant. An all round great song.

Disc Six: Burning Love – Elvis Presley

This is my favourite Elvis song. I love everything about Elvis! A self made legend with a real talent.

Disc Seven: Dog Days Are Over – Florence and the Machine

It was a tie between Fall Out Boy and Florence, but since I like more Florence songs I had to go with this one. I started listening to Florence at uni when a friend was obsessing about her. It reminds me of fun uni trips I’ve had.

Disc Eight: Crazy In Love – Beyonce

The last song choice kind of has to be Crazy in Love because…why not?! It’s upbeat, catchy, a feel good song and reminds me of lots of fun times I’ve had since school.

Choice of book: Notebook!

Instead of taking a book I’d take a notebook so I could write my own! It would keep me sane having something to do.

Luxury Item: Ipod

My luxury item would be my iPod so I can listen to everything else. I realise I’d have to charge it somehow(!), but I would literally be lost without it. Gym, cooking, reading, relaxing…I have it everywhere!
